The project combines the sociological, economic and political science perspectives, different research skills and complementary methods. CITILab involves sociological, qualitative and case comparison research skills (Gemma Scalise, UNIMIB, Principal Investigator), the economic approach and quantitative skills (Alessandra Michelangeli, member of UNIMIB research team) and the political science, welfare studies and theory building skills (Anton Hemerijck, EUI).

Researchers of the University of Milan Bicocca (UNIMIB) are fully involved in the research project and take part to all scientific, dissemination and communication activities, contributing to the four work packages (WPs).

The PI, Gemma Scalise (UNIMIB), leads and monitors that the work is performed consistently with the project plan throughout the project lifecycle.
